What is the MAC Convention?
The MAC Convention is a three-day annual event organized by the Muslim Association of Canada in the Greater Toronto Area. It brings together thousands of people from across Canada for meaningful, action-oriented Islamic learning. Through talks and sessions focused on personal faith, family life, youth, mental well-being, community action, and the realities of the Ummah, the convention offers relevant guidance for today’s challenges. With scholar reflections on a yearly theme, dedicated youth, children’s and educator programs, sessions for new Muslims, and accessible programming in multiple languages, the MAC Convention offers purposeful learning for everyone.

Living with Purpose: Upholding the Way of Allah
صِبْغَةَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ صِبْغَةًۭ ۖ وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ عَـٰبِدُونَ ١٣٨
This (Islam) is the ˹natural˺ Way of Allah. And who is better than Allah in ordaining a way? And we worship ˹none but˺ Him. (2:138)
The theme of MAC Convention 2026 stems from the Qur’anic concept of Sibghatullah. Just as dye infuses through every thread of fabric until its colour is inseparable from the cloth, Islam is a complete way of life that is meant to permeate a Muslim’s heart, character, choices, and way of being in the world, turning every single action into a means of worship. The foundation of our homes, the aspirations that drive our careers, the pinnacle of our goals and dreams, our source of strength and resilience, and our individual and collective success is defined by Allah swt’s divine blueprint.
Sibghatullah then becomes the springboard for action as we strive to live with purpose through establishing the Way of Allah swt on this Earth. It is the framework through which societal systems are developed and justice is upheld.

2025Main Stage Programmming
Our Main Stage programs will explore Islam’s framework for life, fostering resilience, clarity, and purpose. Attendees will engage with scholars, address challenges facing Muslims, and discover ways to create meaningful change.
Parallel Subject Streams
MAC Convention 2025 will feature streams relating to family, youth, dawah, and Ummah issues within the Islamic framework. Attendees can hear from contemporary scholars, gain insights into issues affecting Muslims in Canada, and learn how to make an impact.
Youth Programs
Committed to empowering Muslim youth (13-17) through a dynamic program designed by youth, educators, and activists. It explores faith, identity, leadership, and activism with inspiring talks, performances, competitions, and hands-on learning, fostering resilience and community engagement.Learning Communities
MAC Convention offers one-day professional workshops for Muslim professionals, educators, nonprofit leaders, MSA students, and new Muslims. Programs include Islamic pedagogy, nonprofit leadership, campus activism, and reverts’ journeys, featuring expert-led sessions, networking, and hands-on learning to empower attendees.Children's Education
MAC Convention’s tarbiyah-focused program welcomes children (1-12) into an engaging environment led by educators and community leaders. MAC Convention offers a vibrant expo, live performances, and interactive experiences for all attendees. Enjoy nasheed, poetry, theater, and the “Path of the Liberators” exhibit, plus a diverse bazaar, curated food, carnival, VR quest, and counseling services.
