Spoken Word Competition

This competition is open to contestants between the ages of 13-25, who are aspiring to be spoken word artists. 

Deadline

Submit your completed written piece, and where possible, video recording (please include an open link)  prior to the convention by April 30, 2025 for consideration

Content

Your piece must connect to the theme of the convention, “Turning the Tides: Anchored in faith, Distinguished by action”

. وَلَا تَهِنُواْ وَلَا تَحْزَنُواْ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

• Must be your original work without any AI assistance.
  • Our judging team will review for originality
• Must be under 5 minutes long.
• Must contain strong Islamic messaging and be relevant to the Ummah.
• Must adhere to proper Islamic conduct and guidelines both in content and delivery.

To participate

To be a contestant, you must:

• Submit your completed written piece prior to the convention (Deadline: April 30, 2025) for consideration
• Details on date and time will be provided
• Participants must be convention ticket holders 
• Be between the ages of 13-25

Prize

• Winner(s) will be invited to perform at the MAC Convention mainstage
