Tihitena Aseffa

Tihitena Aseffa is a curriculum developer with the MAC Tarbiyyah Department, where she has worked since 2019—beginning as a researcher and now contributing to the development of K–12 educational resources. Her work centers on helping Muslim students build strong, faith-rooted identities while navigating contemporary ideologies that challenge Islamic beliefs and values. She is committed to fostering spaces where youth grow with confidence, clarity, and purpose through resources grounded in Islamic pedagogy and focused on putting faith into meaningful action. She also volunteers with the Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC) and Canadians for Palestine (C4P), contributing to advocacy, awareness campaigns, and educational initiatives on global issues, including the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
