Sameera Ahmed

Sameera Ahmed is the executive director of The Family and Youth Institute,  dedicated to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through research and education. Dr. Ahmed holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology, she specializes in Muslim adolescent mental health, culturally meaningful psychotherapy, and family interventions. She is an associate editor for the Journal of Muslim Mental Health and she has taught at universities nationwide. Dr. Ahmed is a leading expert on American Muslim youth, Dr. Ahmed has produced influential publications and been cited in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Atlantic. She is known for transforming research into practical resources for the Muslim community.
