Dr. Mohamed AbuTaleb is the Dean of Administration at Boston Islamic Seminary and a Senior Fellow at Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research. With a background in both Islamic studies and science, he holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from MIT, an Alimiyyah degree from Al-Salam Institute, and multiple diplomas from Cambridge Islamic College. Previously, he transitioned from a Fortune 100 technology leadership career to serve as Imam and Religious Director of one of the largest Islamic centers in the South. A co-founder of Oaktree Institute, Muslim Link Newspaper, and Capital-Area Islamic Library, he has lectured at institutions like Harvard, MIT, and Duke, and has been featured in National Geographic, NPR, and other media outlets. Passionate about education and youth work, Dr. AbuTaleb bridges sacred and worldly sciences, engaging diverse audiences through scholarship and dialogue.
