Mohamad Masfaka (Abu Ratib)

Dr. Masfaka is a Ph.D. qualified educator and scholar specializing in Philosophy of Education and Islamic Studies, with 30+ years of international teaching and curriculum development experience across the Middle East and North America. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. from Mohammed V University in Morocco, an M.A. in Philosophy of Arabic Thought and Higher Diploma in General Philosophy from the University of Jordan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economy, and Accounting from Salahaddin University in Iraq, and a Diploma in Sharia from the Sharia Institute in Jordan.

Extensive teaching experience spans elementary through university levels, delivering instruction in Arabic, Islamic Studies, Qur’anic Studies, and the Arts; including music, theatre, creative thinking, and speech. Recognized for integrating interdisciplinary approaches that connect culture and education to foster holistic student development.

Collaborated for nearly a decade with the late philosopher Dawud Tawhidi on the “Al-Tarbiya Project” in the United States, contributing to the development and advancement of Arabic and Islamic Studies curricula within an innovative educational framework. Also served as an Arabic instructor for native and non-native speakers at the Islamic American University in Michigan.

Recipient of multiple international awards in education and the arts, including The Certificate of Appreciation in Scientific Research (Iraq, 1986), The Award of Youth Services for Islamic Art (Bahrain, 2006), and The Certificate of Excellence and Distinction (UAE, 2007), with forthcoming publications in educational theory, narrative writing, and poetry, including “The Art in Managing Student Activities”, “A Narrative: Awaiting the Sunrise”, and a compilation of poetry.
