Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah is pleased with three things for you… He is pleased for you to worship Him without associating anything with Him, to hold fast to the rope of Allah altogether, and to give sincere advice to those in charge of your affairs…”

Upholding justice, participating in the collective good of society and offering peace to the world is meant to be part of the Muslim DNA. In light of the current local and international shifts being witnessed, the Muslim community needs to take stock of their role in being agents of change as Muslim-Canadian citizens.
