“And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.” Surah Luqman (31:14)
Motherhood is one of the most sacred journeys a woman can take, a path full of selfless love, sleepless nights, whispered duʿāʾs, and quiet moments of strength. It is in this journey that a mother draws closer to her Creator, often finding herself turning to Allah more sincerely, more often, and with more depth than ever before.
At every stage, pregnancy, childbirth, nursing, raising a child, Allah sees the pain, hears the prayers, and knows the sacrifices. Islam honours and elevates the role of mothers, placing their status among the highest of all relationships. This session will draw inspiration from the stories of the great mothers from our Islamic history, and explore how to anchor our motherhood journey with the love and pleasure of Allah SWT.
