Convention Main Program

MAC Convention 2023 will bring together the topics of faith, community, culture and growth in a way that celebrates each one. You will be challenged to think critically; you will be inspired to imagine and create in ways that change the realities around you; and you will go back with tools that will transform various spheres of your life, inshaAllah.

This is a conference unlike any other.  This is a program where we as a Muslim Canadian community will gather to celebrate, reinvigorate, reactivate, and redefine where we are going to drive the narrative of Islam and Muslims in Canada in the coming phase, inshaAllah.

The convention main program will provide invigorating sessions and dynamic conversations around how to understand and live Islam as the perfect divine blessing.

The MAC Convention 2023 theme is centered around the verse:

ٱلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِى وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمَ دِينًۭا

This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.

— Qur’an, 5:3, English Translation (Yusuf Ali)

Parallel Streams & Programs

MAC Convention 2023 will feature streams that cover topics through a comprehensive grasp of research and community realities, and an understanding that is grounded within the Islamic framework.  These parallel streams will focus on young professionals, family matters, social justice and civic engagement, Ummah issues, dawah, and some scholarly sessions in Arabic.  Get answers to questions you might have on a variety of topics from religion to current events and listen to some of the most contemporary scholars of our time. You will leave with an understanding of the latest issues, trends and research impacting Muslims in  Canada and a deeper understanding of how you can be an agent of impact within the wider discourse. These smaller lectures are offered in a more intimate setting and are aimed at young professionals and adults.
