About The Educator's Program

Join a specialized full-day professional development program designed for Muslim educators, teachers, and administrators. Enjoy a transformative day filled with engaging learning experiences, networking opportunities, and in-depth discussions on the Islamic education paradigm, all grounded in current pedagogical frameworks. The program features multiple sessions along with a networking lunch, creating a comprehensive opportunity to exchange ideas and insights.

Conference Overview And Focus

Muslim educators today navigate complex and often competing expectations. Alongside academic outcomes, they are entrusted with nurturing faith, character, and moral clarity while responding to modern pressures such as digital influence, shifting cultural norms, and increasing demands on students and teachers alike.


The MAC Convention Muslim Educators Professional Learning Community was created to provide a one of its kind space for Muslim educators in Canada. It allows educators to step back, reflect, and realign. It centers tarbiyah, the Prophetic model, and Islamic worldview as the foundation of education, while engaging thoughtfully with the realities educators face in today’s classrooms.

The Educator’s Conference at the MAC Convention is more than a technical teacher’s training day. It is a value-driven professional learning experience that strengthens educators from the inside out so they can lead with clarity, patience, and purpose. Topics vary each year and are shaped by current realities and educator needs. Previous discussions have been around:

  • Qur’an-centered education, anchoring students in Tawḥid and the Islamic worldview

  • Tarbiyah as a gradual, long-term approach to student development

  • The Islamic worldview and moral clarity in a secular educational landscape

  • Bridging the gap between educational ideals and classroom realities

  • Teaching in times of crisis and uncertainty, locally and globally

  • Teaching Islamic history as a tool for identity building, belonging, and perspective

  • Navigating technology and artificial intelligence with integrity and Taqwa

  • The educator’s role as a moral and intellectual leader

MAC Convention Experience 

The Educator’s Conference is a dedicated program within the larger MAC Convention. Educators may choose to attend the Educators Conference as a standalone experience or take advantage of the broader convention by attending additional sessions, lectures, and programs featuring renowned speakers from across the Muslim world. Educators can also visit the MAC Convention Exhibits, shop at the Expo and join the broader community for Main Stage sessions and performances in the evening. 

Attendance & Ticketing Options

Separate registration is required for the Educators Conference program. 
Educators can: 

  • Purchase an Educators Conference Day Pass that automatically registers your for the conference as well as other MAC Convention Experiences for the day

  • Purchase a full MAC Convention pass and register for the Educator’s Program as a convention attendee.
