About MAC Convention 24

MAC Convention 2024 will take place from Saturday, May 18 to Monday, May 20 in Toronto, Canada.

MAC Convention 2024 brings scholars, activists, intellectuals, and community builders from around the world into one unique event that  invites you to think critically and be inspired to imagine and engage in meaningful action to impact positive changes around you.  This event is for the whole family, with a full-children’s program; youth program; and multiple lectures, workshops and networking sessions for the whole community.

MAC Convention is back this year with the theme “Seizing the Moment: Standing Firm on the Path of Truth.”  We, as a diverse, multi-dimensional community will participate in critical conversations on how Islam presents real, authentic, and much needed complete solutions for every aspect of our lives.

We invite you to learn and grow with us as we discuss Seizing the Moment: Standing Firm in the Path of Truth.

About MAC

The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) is a Canadian, independent, national, faith-based, charitable organization, that provides spaces, services and programs for holistic education and personal development for Canadian Muslims.
MAC focuses on building communities and strengthening neighbourhoods nation-wide, through services and collaborations with groups from different religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds.

MAC is a faith-based organization following a moderate understanding of Islam stemming from the Qur’an and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This understanding focuses on reconciling faith with contemporary challenges, providing a clear articulation of balance, tolerance and moderation.  This understanding encourages constructive engagement in society and focuses on personal and communal empowerment to contribute to the development of healthy societies.

Over the past two decades, MAC has grown to be the largest grass-roots Muslim organization with a national reach rooted in strong local chapters in 14 cities across Canada. With 20 community centers, 10 full-time schools, 20 weekend schools, 4 child care centers, MAC serves around 150,000 community members annually.
